Canadian Ski Marathon

Congratulation to all the skiers, volunteers and land-owners for another fantastic Canadian Ski Marathon! The 42nd Anniversary of the CSM had some of the most well-groomed and scenic trails in the history of the event. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves on the trails this year, look forward to welcoming all back next year and encourage you to bring some friends to enjoy the 43rd CSM in 2009.

Thank you to all those who supported Jessica Krejcik in her goal to achieve her Gold Coureur des Bois and raise money for Children’s hospitals and children with cancer. We are happy to announce that Jessie was able to complete the 160km and earn her Gold. To contribute, please see jessie160k.wordpress.com.

Congratulations to everyone on a fantastic event. We are already starting to build for next year’s event and are always looking for support and feedback from our stakeholders. We are in the process of checking all the results to make sure the results database is up to date. If you did not have your bib results recorded in Lachute, you need to show us proof that you achieved your result by finding a way for us to see your bib. You can drop your bib off at the office, fax us the bib or scan it and email. If you don’t, YOUR RESULTS WILL NOT BE RECORDED FOR 2008. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Le Château Montebello 3 & 4-night Packages

We have come to an agreement with Le Fairmont Le Château Montebello to extend the current contract through 2011. As part of the new agreement, we will be making available 3 and 4-night discount packages to all of our guests and participants! Rooms will be made available for both the Thursday and Sunday evenings at discounted prices AND those booking one of the packages will be given priority reservations for the weekend itself. These discount rates are also available for the Thursday and Sunday evenings this year. Contact the CSM office for more in formation and look to future editions of the CSM newsletter for additional announcements about this fantastic offer. Starting next year, activities will also be held on the Friday day and night to get people excited for the weekend!
